Minnesota Sole was built from the foundation of Blizz Lake Custom, a sneaker restoration brand that began in 2011 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. What started as a passion for cleaning and customizing sneakers on the Southside evolved into something bigger — a full restoration studio dedicated to craftsmanship, structure, and longevity. As the brand grew, so did the vision. Minnesota Sole was created to expand access, elevate standards, and redefine what sneaker care looks like in our city. We specialize in everything from precision cleaning and full restorations to structural repair and one-of-one custom builds. Over the years, our work has reached music artists, professional athletes, influencers, and everyday sneaker collectors who trust us with their most valued pairs. We’ve developed our own sneaker cleaning products and solutions, built around performance and material safety. Our mission has always been to restore properly — not rush the process. Minnesota Sole has also partnered with local sneaker stores throughout the Twin Cities to make professional restoration more accessible. By working directly with retail locations, we’ve created a drop-off model that makes high-quality sneaker care easier for the community. Our growth has even extended beyond the shop floor, with a sneaker-focused TV show that highlights restoration projects, custom transformations, and the culture behind the craft. But at the core, the mission remains simple: We want to change the way people take care of their shoes. Sneakers aren’t disposable. They’re wearable art. They tell stories. Minnesota Sole exists to preserve those stories — and restore them the right way.
